The Automatic Volume Change Apparatus is used for measuring the volume change of a soil sample by monitoring the flow of water through the chamber of the unit. The lower assembly contains changeover valves, which when used in conjunction with the upper assembly provides limitless capacity. The unit can be used with a linear strain transducer, digital indicator, or as part of an automated system. It is accurate to better than ±0.05 ml and is easily de-aired in seconds. Stand alone unit for accurate control of air pressure in the Triaxial laboratory testing. It provides automatic incremental back pressure saturation with B-value calculation and check, when used with HMTS (Humboldt Material Testing Software) and Humboldt Triaxial testing equipment. The on board digitalized and bias pressure regulators plus two air/water bladder systems (HM-4151A) and the distribution panel (HM-4152A) allow simultaneous control of the confining and back pressure while maintaining a constant differential pressure.
