This thermometer is certified at the five ASTM verification temperatures specified in ASTM E-1. Certificates show all corrections to the nearest tenth of the smallest scale division. This thermometer has an ice-point which can be used to check the validity of the corrections at any time. Per NIST/SP-819, August 1991, ANY PREVIOUSLY CERTIFIED THERMOMETER WITH A CALIBRATED ICE POINT NEED NEVER BE COMPLETELY RE-CALIBRATED.

The blue liquid formula is nontoxic noncaustic, nonhazardous and biodegradable. Each ASTM, certified thermometer is supplied with a NIST-traceable certificate with all pertinent traceability information, including correction factors to the nearest 1/10th of a scale division. These thermometers are supplied with one point certification in accordance with ASTM E411 standards.
