Electric muffle furnaces are designed for laboratory and industrial applications. It is used for engineering tests of soils and aggregates, cement testing, ashing organic and inorganic samples, gravimetric analysis, ignition tests, etc. Cases are welded steel construction; perforated base case design keeps benchtop cool. Heating elements are embedded in refractory cement for structural strength and long life. The furnace is insulated with Insu-Light molded ceramic fiber insulation; a percentage input controller allows desired temperature to be selected with repeatable results. It also features a fluorescent digital display. Each unit contains a Chromel/Alumel thermo-couple directly connected to 32-2200°F, 0-1200°C dual scale pyrometer.
Unit contains three heating element surfaces, top and both sides. Unit heats up to about 1600°F (871°C) in 40 minutes. Door can be used as a work shelf or be latched in various positions to aid ventilation during burn-out procedures. Includes 3-wire cord and plug.

Small bench-type muffle furnace has heating elements on both sides of chamber. Unit has high thermal-efficient ceramic insulation surrounding the chamber. Maximum operating temperature is 1904°F (1046°C). Door safety interlock disconnects power to heating elements when door is open. Temperature controller is open loop manual-control type. Temperature is measured by thermocouple and displayed on analog meter. Includes ceramic shelf and 3/8" port at rear for injection of atmospheres. Chamber dimensions: 5 x 4-1/2 x 6"D (12 x 11 x 33cm).

Heating elements on top, bottom and sides, and set in refractory cement increase temperature uniformity. High-efficiency ceramic insulation around chamber maximizes energy efficiency. Features top venting; door safety switch cuts power when door is open. Manual models have dual-scale analog meter. Automatic models feature digital temperature display. Pre-punched ports at rear of furnace allow atmosphere injection; order connection tubing separately. Stainless-steel shelf is optional. H-30204.4F includes cord and plug.
