Easy to use and compact, Humboldt’s grinders offer safety benefits for the user — no dangerous sulfur capping compound or other capping materials are required.

Virtually maintenance-free, the grinders can accommodate variable specimen sizes (4" x 8" or 6" x 12"), and are capable of preparing up to 20 or more cylinders per hour for immediate compression testing. Both machines grind cylinder ends plane and parallel to within ASTM C617 specifications.

The non-destructive Impact Echo Concrete Test System was designed to cover a wide array of testing needs, including the ability to measure the thickness of concrete plates and slabs in accordance with ASTM Standard C1383-98a. The system also provides the ability to measure the depth and extent of cracks, voids, delaminations, honeycombing and rebonding in plain and reinforced structures. The Pistol Grip transducer is armed with a trigger on the underside of the handle and is used for routine impact-echo testing. A laptop computer and dedicated operation software is included with the system.

Humboldt’s H-2964A is a computer controlled Linear Traverse Machine for counting microscopic voids in concrete, which meets or exceeds ASTM C457 specifications. Computer controls traverse patterns and distances based on test sample parameters. The included software also provides counting determinations to be made to material type categories.
