Humboldt provides and extensive offering of soil testing equipment for basic lab testing. The Soil-Lab section covers soil testing equipment from Proctor tests to permeability. Proctor testing equipment includes sample preparation equipment such as soil processors, mixers and grinders, sample extractors and molds. Also included are various compaction methods and a large selection of load frames designed for CBR (California Bearing Ratio) and LBR testing.
We also provide a line of unconfined soil testers, which have replaced the Rimac tester and are designed to be used on-site or in the lab to measure foundation bearing capacity estimates.
Our soil lab testing equipment for the Atterberg limits, ASTM D4318, include liquid limit, both Casagrande and penetrometer methods, plastic limit and shrinkage limit tools. Our sand equivalent shakers are available in basic manual models to motorized, digital models.
Humboldt's hydrometer jar baths, ASTM D422, provide built-in heating and cooling of the bath to ensure correct temperatures are used during testing. We also provide several soil dispersion methods for dispersing soil suspensions used in the hydrometer method of testing sub-grade soils.
